It was a great night for Jeffrey Koslowsky, Chief Financial Officer of Advocate Brokerage, as he received an award for his work with the Greyston Foundation at a gala benefit in Yonkers. When he served as Chairman of the Foundation’s board, he led Greyston through a financial restructuring that has transformed the organization and enabled it to grow and invest in helping the underprivileged in the Yonkers community.

Last year, the Greyston Bakery had $10 million in revenues largely due to its partnerships with Ben & Jerry’s, Whole Foods and Shake Shack The money supports a wide array of programs and services including affordable housing, a nationally-accredited child care center, HIV health services, job training and placement and a vibrant community gardens program.

The benefit raised $455,000, which included a $10,000 gift from Chubb, Advocate’s insurance partner. Jody Rollins, Kathleen McDonough, Audrey Brenya, and Lance Sputo from Chubb were there to cheer Jeff on as were his wife, Denise, his sons Sam_and Kyle, his mother Rhoda Koslowsky, step-father Stan Rand and his sister Jill Neffss, brother-in-law Glenn Binday and in-laws, Advocate Brokerage’s founders Roz and Ron Binday.

Governor Andrew Cuomo sent a special message to Jeff and the evening’s honorees, and noted that “their efforts demonstrate all that can be accomplished when you give of yourself for the advancement of a grateful society.”
